CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

BEST SPORTS TOURISM EVENT

  • Organization and Execution (30%)
    Evaluation the event’s organization and execution, including logistical planning, venue management, participant registration, safety measures, and efficient operations. This is also an assessment on how well the event was coordinated and executed to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for participants and spectators.
  • Participation and Engagement (25%)
    This considers the level of participation and engagement from athletes, teams, spectators, and local communities. This also evaluates the event’s ability to attract top-level athletes, international teams, and a diverse range of participants. It also assesses the strategies employed to engage spectators, create an exciting atmosphere, and involve local communities in the event.
  • Innovation and Uniqueness (15%)
    This refers to the event’s level of innovation and uniqueness. To be looked into will be elements that differentiate the event from others, such as introducing a new sport or a unique event format. How the event incorporates local culture, traditions, or natural resources to create a distinctive experience for participants and spectators will also be considered.
  • Sustainability and Social Impact (15%)
    This assesses the event’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility. Initiatives undertaken to minimize environmental impact, promote sustainable practices, support local communities, and leave a positive legacy will also be considered. How the event contributes to the social and economic development of the host destination will also be evaluated.
  • Feedback and Reviews (10%)
    This refers to feedback and reviews from participants, spectators, industry experts, and media outlets on their opinions regarding the event’s organization, experience, atmosphere, and overall impact
  • Long-Term Legacy (5%)
    This pertains to the event’s long-term impact and legacy beyond its immediate occurrence including how the event contributes to the growth and development of sports tourism in the Philippines, its ability to attract future editions or similar events, and its potential to leave a lasting positive impact on the host destination.
This event highlights how sports and tourism have been incorporated. There will be 1st to 3rd winners for this category, THREE each from the Provincial, HUCs, Cities, and Municipal Level.
